Alignment and Stance

Nickelodeon Shop

Should you have a proper Alignment and Stance? Yes, you should! Here are some ways to show you how!!

Many beginner junior golfers make the mistake of aiming at the target with the top edge of the club. The approach that yields a more accurate shot is to aim the bottom of the club at the target.

In Aligning the ball: There are two factors that you should ask yourself. “Where should my feet be pointed,” and “Where is my clubface pointed.” These factors can help you influence your shot.

There are two types of positions: open, and close. In open, your left foot is closest to the target is pulled away from an imaginary line, while the shoulders are still line with the target. In close, your right foot is moved back from the imaginary line just aiming to the right.

Positioning your feet shoulder-width apart and gently flex your knees. Bend your waist slightly, until your arms hang freely in front of you. Let your arms hang loosely in front of you.
