Pitching

Pitching is a longer shot that is mostly in the air you can play with your 9 iron and wedges for a longer shot.

When you set up this shot, you want to have the same stance, same posture, same ball positioning as for in a chip shot. The only big difference is the alignment of your shoulders and your feet are to the left of where you want your ball to go. Your goal is to hit down on the ball. Remember don’t try to lift the ball.

The proper way is to put a bit of extra weight on your left foot, lean over the top of the ball, with your arms, and swing the clubhead down. The key is to follow through low, not high to the ground.
