Chipping

Chipping is a short shot that’s mostly on the ground. You have to have a setup to create the right position. You will use a 4 iron to a 7 iron club. This will allow the ball to carry out the putting surface.

In having that set up you want to know what you are doing, having a narrow stance. You ask yourself, “What does this mean?” Just place your feet roughly about 12 feet from each other, keeping them open, and keeping your left foot back from the target line. Now you want to place at least 80% of your weight on your left side. This way the ball moves ahead, making it go downward.

Keep your left wrist flat and firm just like in putting. Flex your knees, keep the ball close to your feet, and loosen your elbows. Then end with keeping your hands ahead or even with the clubhead on the follow through.

Just remember to Practice, Practice, Practice.
